Dear Si (That's my nickname for you, Simon is a common name, Si is a short term of your name ^_^), this is what you should know about being Iza Calzado's leading man, but you have a tight competition from a Taiwanese Pop Star. If you're reading this, you should know that you should bring up the glory of college basketball players becoming instant celebrities.
Dear Simon Atkins, congratulations on being the team captain of the DLSU Green Archers during the UAAP Season 73 Men's Basketball Tournament, i know you kick butt more on the hardcourt & your team's worst nightmare is of course, the Ateneo Blue Eagles, but i know that here in the Philippines, College Basketball Players are treated like celebrities. (Remember that sometimes, there are some celebrities started to date college cagers, i surely support the Megan Young-Nico Salva Love Story, i end up making a bunch of stories about their relationship, mostly about love even in the times of an enemy attack probably like a Super Sentai or a Power Rangers-like story. Anyway, today, i was watching the movie titled, 'Batanes' on TV & i found out that Iza Calzado, your leading lady in the horror movie, 'Sundo' where you played the role of a ghost (think bringing your scary role to scare the Blue Eagles, wait until you see the scared face of Eric Salamat when he see you as a ghost with your face doodled in foundation & eyeliner) has a Taiwanese Pop Sensation leading man. The name was Ken Zhu of the hot Taiwanese Pop Group known as F4, the group where Vic Zhou also came from, you know Zai-Zai's new hairdo could rather give him an identity crisis, looking like your team-mate, Maui Villanueva or sort of like the Super Blue Eagle Tandem of Ryan Buenafe & Nico Salva. Yes, the movie where Iza met Ken is more of a love story more than the time you met her which is more of a horror, i remember there were rumors spreading out during the time of 'Sundo' that you will leave basketball for showbiz, but you said you're still stuck with your La Salle jersey & shoot hoops more. It's ok, College Basketball players do considered now as instant celebrities.
It's no surprise what you did on UAAP Season 73 opening day last year, flashing out the new Adidas-La Salle Centennial Team Jacket next to a super-hero costume claded hero named Enchong Dee. I was jealous to have the jacket that you wore on that day aside that i also want to have the Nike-Ateneo Team Shirt & Team Jacket that Eric Salamat & Jason 'Jumbo' Escueta wore also on opening day. If i would plan to go on one place that i haven't visited, like Batanes to be exact, i would bring the Adidas-La Salle Centennial Team Jacket along with my stuff as i go there to that place. If i only have the chance to bring the jersey of yours from the year 2008, aside from Maui's jersey also from the mentioned year. Like who would Iza admire more? A Taiwanese Pop Star or a College Basketball Player? I hope either Vic Zhou or Eric Salamat will know that soon.
Happy Centennial Year to La Salle, Animo La Salle!
Love, Tricia aka Jumbo-Tan (Jumbo Escueta Girl)
