I found out the news last night that Friendster will be re-formatted, uh, i surely miss the times i check out my Friendster everyday whenever i feel like someone dropped me a comment in my profile. Somehow, i remember the first time i opened up my FS account back in May 2005. At first, i feel awkward on checking out my FS account because i don't receive any comment, but it wasn't on the years of 2007-2010 where the magic begins. Yes, during those times, my FS profile was flooded with comments that has pics on it. (In 2007, that's where i got started to become curious about the world of the Kamen Riders after i watched KR Blade. in 2008, it was a mix of Boukenger, Gekiranger & the Ateneo Blue Eagles & it's bitter rival, the La Salle Green Archers. From 2009 to 2010, it's an all-out KR & Super Sentai wipe-out.) I surely miss those times where i check out my FS Profile in the morning, finding out if i have a new comment that was posted, making me happy for the day. Great, having a Friendster leaves surely unforgettable memories.
But it was on the year of 2009 where it was on the month of October, where the real magic began, yup, i can't forget the times where i got a complete collection of Boukenger pics. The hype of UAAP Season 71 from July-September 2008 was the best too since i remember every time Ateneo wins their games, a comment with an Ateneo pic is on the loose! But when the Blue Eagles ended 6 years of heartbreak, an FS friend of mine submitted a pic of my favorite Blue Eagle, Chris Tiu. So many memories made on Friendster, so little time to remember all of it. That was my first social networking site i know before Facebook, Crunchyroll & You Tube. But somehow, it's not all about the colorful pics posted via comments or the interesting primary pics, or even the cute graphics posted on comments & on the profile, it's all about sharing your real identity to the rest of the world. But for me, Friendster is more than checking out your comment box for pics with comments or checking out your intensive photo album collection full of pics, it's all about having friends. But for now, i would rather say thanks to the memories, Friendster, i will surely remember it all, until the end, hope you will be back, along with the memories which will never be faded.
