I kept begging my little sister who is a fresh ADMU AB Economics graduate who will go to Boracay with her friends this summer to buy me marshmallows, like the ones dad brought from his Boracay, Iloilo & Palawab trip a year ago. But she kept telling me that the marshmallows dad bought was NOT from Boracay. Let's just called last year's marshmallows from dad as the 'Boracay Marshmallows'. I could even think that the marshmallows i ate was from Boracay, maybe because the colors reminds us of the best island tourists from all over the world go if they want some sand, sun & fun. So, maybe, my little sister might buy more than a bag of marshmallows from Bora after i bugged her too much about this. (It would be better if she bought along a can or better, a bottle of either Pepsi or Coke Zero!) But, when does this crazy marshmallow hangover of mine began exactly 1 year ago? Ok, read along to find out, read the story below so you can find out why this time around, i'm craving for marshmallows.
Exactly March of last year, i was surprised when dad just arrived from his class trip from Boracay, Palawan & Iloilo. (Where he & his students enjoyed an early summer treat, there were even some 'skinny dipping' moments that good thing it didn't happen this year, but we were joking about why dad doesn't get a chance to bring his swimming trunks for a class trip like this, but never mind, i guess he brought his summer-inspired polo shirts.) Dad came home with a lot of luggage, full of souvenirs & food of course, i stumble upon the bag full of marshmallows which he brought from his trip to Boracay. Yes, it's a bag full of colorful marshmallows which i have no choice but to munch it since it's been a long time i ate a marshmallow. (Or even a bag or pouch of marshmallows.) So, if my little sister didn't bought a bag or 2 of marshmallows from Boracay, i might buy one instead here at Manila. (Let me admit that whenever i eat a marshmallow, it reminds me of how chubby Henry Lau's cheeks are.)
