For the Ateneo Blue Eagles, they don't want to repeat a nightmare from last year that shocked them. Those blue-colored shoes are worth it, 2 players shine further w/ their game-high & career-high points & they're now in the stage of improvement. But hey, some players of the Ateneo Blue Eagles wants to heir the thrones of their 3 star players from last season. But the weird part, each throne has more than 1 heir. But we have no choice, they're stepping up to improve their performances.
Heirs to the throne of Jai Reyes: Magic Tiongson, Eman Monfort, Eric Salamat
Heirs to the throne of Nonoy Baclao: Nico Salva, Ryan Buenafe, Frank Golla
Heirs to the throne of Rabeh Al-Hussaini: Justin Chua, Jumbo Escueta
(The list is not yet final, just because every player of the Blue Eagles wants to be the heir of their 3 star players from last year!)
I noticed something from the game yesterday, some of the Blue Eagles are wearing blue-colored b-ball shoes. (As like last Sunday, some of the Green Archers from DLSU wears green-colored b-ball shoes) but it was just like the game during St. Ignacius day aka Ateneo Day, the 2nd half was the key for the Blue Eagles to win the game, a lightened improvement more than their sorry loss game against DLSU. The race to the 2nd round is quite close as this weekend draws the end of the 1st round. But about the Blue-colored shoes, it didn't remind me of the blue-colored Nike Hyperdunks of last year that has an Ateneo colorway. Well, never mind, everything changes, same thing as the basketball shoes. Oh, i nearly forgot, Nico Salva got a jersey nightmare because someone pulled Nico's jersey! But good thing the jersey got repaired before the kick-off of the 2nd half. What a slight boo-boo.
Anyway, Ateneo just don't want to repeat the nightmare of July 26, 2009. The nightmare has just forgotten. Good thing the Blue Eagles did the unthinkable.
