Rivals, Shabby Chic Thoughts & A Mystery Shampoo

It's been a week or 2 after the UAAP Games but i recently got hooked on this so-called 'mystery shampoo' thing that i've seen on TV. I've tried different shampoo brands since i was a Grade School student & when i was a High School student, i've changed my shampoo brand one at a time since i was trying out what benefits i should get. I remember a cheeky lesson from my teacher back in Freshman Year HS to use a volumizing shampoo because my hair was lifeless & limp, although i have thick hair, my hair was lifeless. That was the cheekiest lesson i got away from the usual academic lessons like math lessons where our math teacher dares us to do some easy problems, English lessons that i loved to learn & Science lessons too. But about the mystery shampoo thing that i got hooked on so far, it's one thing that i can't solve by myself, i need to wait for the 1st day of August to solve this mystery behind this mystery shampoo. (If you want to find out more about this mystery shampoo that's been a hit in 40 countries, go to www.mysteryshampoo.com to find out!)

It will be a so-called 'Rivalry Week' for the NCAA & the UAAP. Today on the NCAA, the Letran Knights are facing off the San Beda Red Lions. There will be also some tight rivalry between 2 pairs of brothers. (Kevin & Jun-Jun Alas of CSJL, sons of CSJL Knights Head Coach Louie Alas against twins Anthony & Dave Semerad of SBC whose playing in their rookie year.) But somehow, i could rather cheer for SBC because they've been the coolest NCAA team ever, now it looks like i would rather say TY to SBC Red Lions Head Coach Frankie Lim for recruiting the cutest Fil-Aussie twins ever! But on Saturday, the bitter rivals of the UAAP are ready to duke it all out for a brand new decade. It's ADMU vs. DLSU all over again. But last Sunday, the rivals were in tip-top shape, facing off UST & UE respectively. But this time, get ready for a rivalry which is somehow going to be different than the past years. A sea of green & an ocean of blue is ready to be waved up in the Araneta Coliseum. But somehow, the game will be on 5 pm, 1 hour late from the usual game time of 4pm. But if you can't make it to the venue, it's ok, watch it on TV!
Now, where was i? The Shabby Chic trend! It's been a year but i nearly forgot about it as the days passed. Since 3 years ago, i got hooked on reading my grandma's old magazines that has some articles related to vintage stuff. I even got a shot on trying to test my artistic skills of drawing to draw some Victorian-inspired graphics, a bit far from the Anime drawings that i learned all by myself when i was a 6th Grader during the time i watched Digimon. (Right now, i'm watching Digimon Frontier on weekdays & Digimon Tamers on Saturdays.) So i guess my artistic drawing skills are up to the test, again. I felt curious everytime i thought about watching 'Shabby Chic' on TV since last year. But it's been a year & i can still feel it. It's ok w/ me & i feel more innocent since it has a slight feminine touch due to the details. For now, i guess i need to get started to become a shabby chic all over again. It's never too late to discover something old even in the modern times.
