Guten Tag, Arnold Van Opstal!

Attention all fans of the DLSU Green Archers! Former DLSZ Standout Arnold Van Opstal who is half-German but he's also half-Pinoy is heading to DLSU next year as he joins his fellow Junior Archer Team-mates like Nico Elorde & Luigi Dela Paz. I stumble upon this article today as i'd wish that next year's UAAP Season will be as mind-blowing as this season like the good ol' tension of the legendary Ateneo-La Salle rivalry & we still don't know who will dominate. Some say Archers, others say Eagles. WTH? Let's look forward for that next year because it will be intense than this year. Next year will be the most intensive Archer-Eagle face-off. Ok, so Mr. Van Opstal will be a Green Archer next year, he's going to give former UV Lancer-turned-present ADMU Blue Eagle Greg Slaughter a nightmare. (YIKES!) Now this will be the intensive battle than ever. So, we have to look forward for that next year. We're still on a hangover from this year's UAAP Season where La Salle's legendary arch-nemesis retains the crown for the 3rd consecutive year. Can anyone stop the kids of Katipunan Avenue? Maybe the kids of Taft Avenue will do it, but if not, it looks like the Eagles will turn the UAAP into their lair.

Come to think of it, Fil-foreigners & foreigners who started to play high school basketball or being recruited by top UAAP Schools & ended up playing 3-5 years of Philippine Collegiate Basketball are now shining further in the UAAP since 3 years ago. The most dominant? Good ol' Ateneo & La Salle. From the kids of Taft Avenue, they got Fil-British Simon Atkins who is the Team Captain of the Green Archers & Indonesian center Ferdinand, the one-named Green Archer. (who made hell to Nico Salva & Jumbo Escueta last summer.) On the kids of Katipunan Avenue, they got former Faith Academy stalwart Jeffrey Kirk Long who can speak fluent Filipino aside from his native American English but can play basketball & baseball (remember his buzzer-beater from the ADMU-UST R2 Game on his rookie year for UAAP Season 70? It happened 2 days before his birthday!) but what makes him a hot-shot player for the Blue Eagles? Sharp-shooting 3-pointers from the 3-point range & even his hair, blonde or brunette, he can handle it, even it's messy or crew-cut. New in the list of the Blue Phenoms is Fil-Am Gilas Standout Gregory 'Greg' Slaughter. Now, both teams have players of different races, get ready for the intensified ADMU-DLSU Game came this coming UAAP Season 74.

For Arnold Van Opstal, he's ready to aim the target, beware!
