"If i bought these Asian-flavored LM noodles, can it cope the times where i had a hard time donning the bedhead hairdo that made Vic Zhou a star?"
Yesterday, i found out for myself that i might end up on an Asian noodles thrill. Just because yesterday, on the 1st day of May, where the rain falls on the 1st day, known as 'Agua De Mayo', where in a belief, it will bring good luck & good fortune. At the supermarket, i just found some Asian noodles that are sold there, especially when it's made by Lucky Me! Supreme Cup Noodles in Japanese & Korean flavors like Jjamppong, Kari & Po-Ku & now, Curly Spaghetti in Bibimyun, a Korean flavor inspired from Bibimbap, the Korean main course meal i would love to eat since it's a complete meal. That could be a good guilty pleasure if i bought that on the next grocery shopping. Good thing i have the Korean dining utensils from dad, i better use that instead, while i could don a cute bedhead. Just because i'm listening to Japanese, Korean & Taiwanese music means i could end up eating Asian noodles. The times where i could stock up myself on copies of Sparkling & reading books like Popped or Popped Too where it's all about the fandom of the Asian entertainment scene. Like it's been quite exactly 5 years ago, i donned a cute, short, thin & layered hairdo that could turn me in a Vic Zhou, but it become cuter the year later, on the day of the 1st Ateneo-La Salle game around July 2008. Never mind, at least i donned a cuter hairdo just before the hard-court battle royale will kick off. Sometimes i could think that the times where singing into Chinese songs back in 2003 due to the F4 frenzy could take me a long time to don Zai-Zai's bedhead hairdo then the year later, i decided to return my Toku fandom image when KR Ryuki was aired, then there was the times around this year that i could tell my favorite auntie to buy those 8 SS DVD's from the 2004-2011 SS Teams so i can watch it whenever i'm bored. But now as the rainy days draw near, i could think that i'm still raving for it's additional thrill, Magnum Ice Cream? Interesting, just because i could try to run away from the shocking news i heard in 2007 while i witnessed how Ateneo falls into the hands of their long-time bitter rivals when the rivalry had returned & it ended up to the 5th & last game where everything is on the line. The year later, the Blue Eagles just redeemed themselves, finally.
"What happened last 2007? Where were you? At the airport or at the Araneta Coliseum?"
"At the Araneta Coliseum, i was aimed by too many arrows, at least La Salle give Ateneo a tight match. I don't give a damn about the airport thing, fallen stars might return stronger in the next years."
"Really? But i found out for yourself that you love Chinese Pop."
"I want to don Vic Zhou's bedhead, so bad, i can don that in my Ateneo or La Salle gear for sure."
5 years ago, i could rather witness the 5th & last Ateneo-La Salle game for UAAP Season 70, been a year after La Salle's 1 year/1 season hiatus & Ateneo was waiting for their return. The exchange of shots of the game did last not just on that year, but on the next succeeding years where Ateneo decided to redeem themselves. If i was just like the Blue Eagles, then i would turn that into a conversation over Asian noodles like Ramen or Danzi Noodles, an ice-cold glass of Pepsi could be my drink, songs of F4 or Super Junior-M (Chinese version songs) played around the place & i was in my Ateneo or La Salle gear with my family on a Japanese or Taiwanese resto. My meal from yesterday, a Chicken Chops (Wasabi-flavored)-Cream Of Mushroom Soup-Rice-Coke Zero combo meal from Big Daddy's Chicken, a Taiwanese-based food stall which has a stall inside Greenhills Theater Mall was my favorite lunch thrill of the moment. So maybe i told to myself that after hours of intensive shopping for everything i need, i could have an Asian lunch, snack or dinner feast, while waiting for my order to come, i could tick down the 'just bought' items that was written down in my shopping lists & shopping checklists, i could even think that i was becoming an organized shopper now, no longer an impulsive shopaholic. Maybe the best reward for that, came the UAAP Season in July, tickets to some Ateneo games, hopefully Ateneo vs. La Salle where i could witness the 'Battle Royale' of Philippine Collegiate Basketball live, in the flesh, sitting along with the Ateneo crowd occupying the half of the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, where it was like an ocean of blue. Donning in my Ateneo shirt, eating hotdog sandwiches, pizza & Dairy Queen Desserts while i enjoy drinking a 500ml bottle of ice-cold Pepsi, cheering my hearts out for Ateneo. I know it's been a goal of mine since 5 years ago instead of crying buckets of tears for fallen stars who says goodbye to the showbiz scenes & decided to go out of the country. I witnessed that 5 years ago, on the showbiz news, but i decided to get aimed by a green-colored arrow instead, aimed by a Green Archer. While i decided to listen some Chinese or Taiwanese pop songs all over again while waiting for the time i could get started to watch Toku shows on the net or my favorite auntie will buy some Toku DVD's for me, i could try to gear up in an Ateneo or La Salle gear, trying to think it was better for me to cheer for the Blue Eagles at the big dome more than crying for fallen stars. Mom told me, "If you're caught on TV, wave your hands, ok?"
