Hard To See It Falling

"If stars fall, they will die, that's what i could think about the faded celebrities. But if arrows fall after they were aimed, that could be painful."

For those of you who cried buckets of tears back in 2007 when Sandara Park decided to leave us & go back to South Korea, then you might end up having sore eyes & thinking about the plan of blaming her pathetic K-Pop-hating ex-BF, then i don't know if you did that plan successfully. But if you were that fan of the Ateneo Blue Eagles witnessed the return of the La Salle Green Archers, you might end up being aimed by more than 1 arrow. La Salle was back, stronger than ever back in 2007. If only the biggest news i could see on TV is when Ateneo fans were sent to several hospitals in the Metro after they were aimed by green-colored arrows from Ateneo's long time bitter rivals, La Salle. I wish i was on the scenario where i was sent to the hospital, after i was aimed by too many arrows, feeling the pain of how the arrow's tips sink on my skin. The doctors could inject some anesthesia on me to reduce the pain as they remove the arrows aimed on me, ouch. That was the sign of La Salle's big return after a 1-season hiatus. But in reality, Ateneo have waited for 1 year to redeem themselves after La Salle's return, they were the 2nd to the last victim by La Salle after their big time return. That was in the year 2008 when the Blue Eagles decided to redeem themselves. But in reality, i could rather think that i was the Go-Busters to-be who busted Dara's pathetic ex-BF to his unexpected death after the ill-fated car accident that my mom could ask me if i was happy for that, i'm no KR Decade, it's not my fault. If only i could kill him with any Go-Busters or Super Sentai-related weaponry & tell him why he left Dara behind while i was sent to the hospital after La Salle aimed arrows on us Ateneo fans. Many cried when Sandara said goodbye, but a lot were shocked for La Salle's return. Arrows were aimed, the blue-colored feathers could fall but it's a sign that Ateneo & La Salle are the rivals that withstood the test of time. We don't know who's the boss of them now. Like finding out which is painful when it sinks on my skin, the arrow or the talon? It could be both, i don't care if i got home from an Ateneo-La Salle game with arrows struck all over me, all of what i just got is an experience of watching the legendary hardcourt game ever, live.

"Ok La Salle, you're back, we're back too! We are the Ateneo Blue Eagles, stronger than ever! Now it's time to swoop our rivals down!"

Then by the next years when Ateneo decided to redeem themselves after La Salle did a fatal attack against them upon their return in the year 2007, the Blue Eagles just dominated the UAAP Scene. 4 straight tittles on the men's basketball games, seeking for history as they eclipse La Salle for the tittle count in the Men's Basketball tournament. I remember there was a time that i got a haircut on the day itself of the 1st Ateneo-La Salle game for UAAP Season 71 back in 2008. Ateneo was lucky that they finally defeated their bitter rivals after what happened in 2007. Sometimes, i could think of myself that i just got over the departure of Sandara Park in 2008, like nothing happened to me at all, just thinking about the Ateneo-La Salle games instead while i'm enhancing my UAAP Geekiness, just because i was a UAAP geek since 2000. Buying the July issues of Chalk related to the UAAP universe was the key for me to explore the world of the hottest college basketball tournament ever. Then there's the time i could buy the annual UAAP Magazine, where i could get the instant lowdown on everything UAAP. From the schools to the teams & the players. Who could think that in the year 2007, Ateneo have waited for their bitter rivals to return after 1 year? At least it was exciting, like for me, after the crazy experience of Junior Year HS, it's time to find myself before i did a big return to high school for Senior Year HS. Like it's written down on my shopping list, ticking it down when i bought it, the long wait is finally done. After all of buying what's been according on my shopping list, even if my mom could join in my shopping day, just telling me to buy some interesting items, dining time could be a bonding time. I could tell my mom that i would rather have a yummy Korean lunch or dinner like Bibimbap & a red-colored Yard Cup filled with Coke Zero. I know it's interesting to think that after May 17, when May 18 rings a bell, the last days of summer could give way to the rainy days, time to buy what's according to my shopping list & then i end up having the best bargain must-buy of my dear life. But somehow, i know it's hard to see fallen stars in the equivalent of fallen celebrities, but when arrows fall from the sky, it will be a Battle Royale. Dear mom, i will end up being aimed by arrows.
