Unrecognizable

"Is that Bouken Red? Sorry, i was way too confused because he's unrecognizable in the pic." That was the simple yet not-so-long sentence i said to a friend of mine at Friendster yesterday when i found out about the return of selected Super Sentai actors & actresses for next year's Super Sentai series tittled Gokaiger. But not all are coming back, it's like a selection list, what surprised me is...... Bouken Red's return! He's the lone kid from Boukenger who will come back for Gokaiger, i found out about it via FS comments on a list posted by my favorite FS friend, Patrick-kun. Although what he said first is a rumor, i guess it was indeed a fact that Mitsuomi Takahashi will bring back his Boukenger role in Gokaiger although he will be the lone hero from the 2006 hit Super Sentai series which was the 30th, Gokaiger was the 35th to be exact. To find out exactly what am i saying right now, here's the pic!
Being the plain curious human being, i was thinking who was the guy in the pic next to Gokaiger Red, i just found out the answer a few hours later, yes, it was Bouken Red. But he (Bouken Red) was somewhat unrecognizable in the pic, far from the pics of the past where i could see Mitsuomi Takahashi had his short hair spiked up like his character in Boukenger. Ok, ok, i knew it, it was him, it was really him, the only thing i could recognize is his smile, realizing that it was been 2 years to be exact when i knew about Boukenger, how silly am i. As if i could reach my little brother's hair clay & have my Vic Zhou-like bed head having it a Bouken Red twist while i was thinking about the bangs, should i look like Lei or become Bouken Black? Nobody called me the girl w/ Lei's bedhead hair but has Bouken Black's bangs. Ok, about recognizing Bouken Red in the pic, i was like there was a question mark in my head thinking who was the guy in the left. I waited for a few minutes for my question to be answered, finally, the answer was revealed, my eyes become wide-open when i found out it was just Bouken Red. Too silly, it's not like the same thing like i watched out for my Friendster to be flooded w/ Boukenger pics since 2009. From October 2009 to September 2010, that was like the flood that stormed my FS comment box, but i'm enjoying it.

Can't wait for Gokaiger? You have to wait for next year for that, especially waiting for Bouken Red's big return.

Have Fun Like It's The End Of The World

Let's party, have fun & enjoy life like it's the year 2012 where the world draws it's end, is this for real or it's just from our minds? No matter what it is, let's party like it's the end of the world. Somehow, i have some unfinished plans & goals to do before this year ends w/ a bang in a few days. But good thing, i need to achieve all of it before this year ends, although it all started last June. That's crazy, huh? But i'm sure i need to accomplish it all, i feel like i'm not perfect whenever i don't achieve a goal in life, but i feel perfect yet pleased whenever i achieve a goal even it's not according to my time line like for example that i achieve a goal that is once slated for September but slated for summer! ACK! Where is my dessert? Anyway, like where in the world am i? Let's go & party like 2012 is near.

Last Monday, i just bought a back copy of Cosmopolitan's September 2009 back issue at a Filbar's stall inside Landmark Department Store at Trinoma, the price when buying a back issue is somehow reduced from the original price, so buying a back issue is worth cheap, so if you got missed out on completing your collection of magazines, go & buy a back issue! Next stop, i need to buy the October 2006 back issue of K-Zone since there was an article there that tickles my fancy. Ok, i surely want to buy magazine since i have nothing to do at home on a lazy day. 1 week before the holidays, i recently got hooked w/ Domo-kun, so i just want to buy a cute Domo-Kun bag & key-chain for myself that i need to buy at Tickles, can't wait to use that on an Anime convention that will held at SM Megamall! That will be my first taste of Domo-kun after i got my first taste of Code Geass since November of last year when my BFF introduced that Anime to me. Now, she's doing her best to find the Podcast related to Code Geass so i can know more about the Anime itself! I feel like all of the goals i started last June needs to be done as soon as possible before this year ends, i don't know but i have no choice after all. Maybe i need to do it!

Code Geass podcasts on my MP4 Player? Bring it on!

Too Powerful

It's been the weekend after i stumble upon some PR Clips on You Tube, until i watched a short PRNS Clip of Dustin Transforming as the Yellow Wind Ranger. It's based from an PRNS episode which i've watched more than once, it's about lies & truths, but when the evil plan is revealed, a girl in a fly suit makes out the fool out of an innocent boy who've thought that the world is almost against him. Hello Dustin, you're the man on fire. Or as i would say, you're the Ranger on fire. After 4-5 years of watching this episode, i just thought that Marah, the girl in a fly suit who dragged Dustin all the way to the depths of hell due to her stupid lies against our cute hero who is like hey, he told his fellow Ranger, Hunter, aka the Crimson Thunder Ranger that sometimes, cute good boys can be dragged to hell by bad girls in fly suits. My thought was, i guess it's like a puppeteer tries to control his puppet, Marah is the puppeteer while Dustin is the so-called puppet, poor Dustin, Marah is trying to control him & in the end, she makes a fool out of him that the other Rangers were shocked to find out, good thing lone rose Tori came to the rescue & told Marah that what she did to Dustin was low, Dustin is trying to be nice & Marah wasted it. (That's what i get from watching too much Power Rangers, interesting life-lessons & catch phrases that in the end, you can use it in real life on every situation.) But somehow, the world is not against Dustin, it was only Marah.

To Marah, don't make a fool out of Dustin because if you messed w/ his friends, you might end up messing w/ him.

Friendship Between Father & Daughter

Let me dedicate this entry to my dad, somehow, we were like friends more than just a typical father-&-child tandem. It was crazy yesterday that i admit, it was crazier that reminds me of attending Anime cons at SM Megamall every Sunday to avoid lazy Sundays where i have nothing to do but to watch TV in bed. Somehow, it was crazy yesterday that my dear dad or 'papang' (excuse my La Greta puns here) gave me his MP4 Player! Like how many months i waited for that? let's see, uhm..... 8 months! Oh my freakin' god! But somehow, the long wait is finally over! Phew, it all started when i saw my uncle's uber-new iPod Touch. (We even talk about cellphones because i decided to look forward to buy a My Phone w/ a TV function so i can watch the Power Rangers & the UAAP Games even when i'm not at home!) I even have to search the red & black-colored card readers until i found it at the small decor pot. For now, i'm using the red one since it has the adaptor to the 2GB Micro SD card which is used for the MP4 Player, i'm recently downloading a bunch of Anime, J-Pop, K-Pop & C-Pop songs for now, let's go Asian first before hitting the New Year right. (I even need to decorate it w/ crystal stickers.) Hmm, i guess it's not enough, it was crazier for more.

Ok, it was a lazy Sunday, but it's a crazy Sunday too even there was a rainfall, i thought i will only have the MP4 Player & it's red-colored card reader, i was absolutely wrong! As i was looking for the red & black-colored card readers, i incidentally found a cute ballpen w/ lanyard & a pink-colored flip-flop cellphone charm that i think dad bought from Boracay during his trip last March before summer formally kicked off. I have no choice but to keep it & use it soon. Right now, dad & i need to prep up for the holidays as December 25 draws near. Dad knows what i want & what i don't want, i need to follow my dad's disciplinary acts to become a disciplined human being. But sometimes, i'd love to keep some of his stuff that he gave to me, it's worth a heirloom. Hmm, i was thinking that if i got my dad's yellow-colored lighter w/ flashlight, i guess i would love to buy the pink-colored solar-powered flashlight keychain that he gave me once last year which i've used it often during the entire month of December like when dad starts to have his mini vegetable garden. (Like if i buy it, oh yes, good times coming back!)
Dad, i know i was been your first daughter, but for me, you're not just my dad, but my best friend & my buddy. I would rather laugh over mom's jokes that i didn't follow her rules because i follow you. Never mind, i guess we are meant to be buddies.

Meet The Azkals, Instant Favorite In Sports!

Let's run down the best athletes & athletic teams that rock 2010 by storm, from boxing champ Manny Paquiao who created history w/ 8 different tittles to the red-hot NCAA team San Beda Red Lions who is now back to the throne as the real kings of the NCAA Hardcourt to the turbo-charged & turbo-powered (excuse my Power Rangers Turbo puns over my favorite UAAP team) UAAP team Ateneo Blue Eagles who created history for the 3-peat, never done it in the past but finally done it! & now, a new sports team is on the rise, instant favorites! It's the Philippine Football Team or simply enough, The Azkals! After they created a big upset over defending champs Vietnam at the AFF Suzuki Cup during the elimination round, they instantly become famous & already created frenzy right now even before the Christmas season. If it wasn't for it's players which is composed of Fil-foreign players & Philippine Army members. But who started the 'Azkals' craze which is still on right now & now becoming a trending topic on Twitter? If it wasn't for the cute Fil-British Younghusbands, James & Philip, reserves from the English Premiere League Team Chelsea FC which one of the top teams not just in UK, but also in the entire world. (Although they are born in the UK, they're proud to be half-Filipino, they're also proud of playing in the Azkals.) But hey, the Younghusbands are not just a hit among the girls here, also the girls in Indonesia are going crazy for the Younghusbands! Oh well, here comes the heartthrob-worthy siblings that will swoon every girl, girls, get ready for this craze right now!

Since the buzz that the Azkals gave the tourney host/defending champions Vietnam an upset, they become an instant Twitter trending topic, everyone is talking about it after the big news. Now, every Filipino is supporting the Azkals right now, it looks like the Philippine Football Team is creating history right now even the year draws to an end. Attention everyone, get ready for the invasion of the Azkals!

Colored Nails, Fashion Statements & Looks Like Sailormoon

Colored nails- Didn't you even know the colored nails of the inner & outer scouts of Sailormoon? After i bought a bottle of MWAH! Nail Polish in Jericho Rose which is a red-colored nail polish, i would rather admit that it's like the same color that colors the nails of Rei/Raye Hino (Star & Crystal Power Transformations as Sailor Mars) Hmm, i guess i need to buy more nail colors, like blue for Ami Mizuno/Amy Anderson (Star & Crystal Power Transformations-Sailor Mercury), light green for Makoto/Lita Kino (Star & Crystal Power Transformations-Sailor Jupiter), yellow for Minako/Mina Aino (Star & Crystal Power Transformations-Sailor Venus). Go first for the inner scouts while i'll try to think the colors for the outer scouts. Somehow, it will not be a surprise if i showed up to my Auntie just to say sorry to her in red nails & a Sailormoon-inspired hairstyle & look.

Fashion Statements- OMG! I would love to have Raye's red-colored pumps, Lita's laced-up booties & Amara's short boots! It would be silly if i wear it on a special event or a family reunion in a comfy shirt & shorts plus the footwear will be just like a cute Sailor Senshi. Somehow, i feel like i had this weird feeling that i want to go shopping for shoes because mom told me so? Maybe. Now, i feel like i would have to shop for shoes!
Looks- Right now, my hairdo resembles Amy, i was even trying not to put a headband so the bangs wont be a disaster like i was blown away by the wind. Ok, so i need to buy a red-colored ribbon scrunchie to get Mina's look & a cute ponytail holder w/ red beads for Lita's cute ponytail. So, it looks like i got no choice after all of getting their looks.

Is that all? Far from over, one unexpected understanding might end up making the unexpected magic of forgiving & transforming.

Cupcake Therapy

If i feel sad & depressed, you might give me a cupcake, if i feel that it's a boring day, you might give me a cupcake, if Ateneo wins the game, you might give me a cupcake w/ a Blue Eagle sugar icing cookie topping on top. Let's think that cupcakes are anti-depressants. So what is the meaning of this? It's been a day after i ate a banana cupcake followed by a chocolate cupcake & after seeing a bunch of cupcake pics on Tumblr, FB, FS or all over the internet. The crazy part, i need to keep calm & have a cupcake instead. Whether it's a plain cupcake or designed using icing in different colors, it's a sweet treat. Somehow, it would be better if some of my friends & relatives would rather gave me a box of cupcakes,  from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 or even more. Somehow, i had this quite misunderstanding between me & my favorite Auntie, but somehow, hope it won't get worse because my conscience told me that everything will be fine & my conscience who is like a curious minded Von Pessumal told me that everything will be fine & this situation will never get in to the critical point where a war will happen, it will end in peace. For me, some of the worst case scenario-like situations once it reaches on the worst point, not on the critical point where there will be a clash of the emotions will somehow end on the cold zone, dropping it down from the critical point to the freezing point where in the end, it will be forgotten.

Speaking of cupcakes, if i would try to keep calm & have myself a cupcake instead where in the end, the clash of emotions will never hit the critical point & instead, it will drop down to the freezing point so it won't be remembered, it will be like a forgotten grave. Hope tomorrow, as i crossed my fingers, everything will be fine as like what my conscience said before i reach the pack or box of cupcakes. I would rather think the negative side of things first since if you think the negative side of one event, it will suddenly turn into positive in the end. It's by accident & it all started last year. (It all started when Ateneo is in the critical point of not creating history. But suddenly, the tables are turned & the Blue Eagles had the last laugh. Phew, hurray for thinking first of negative things & it will turn to positive things.) I wish everything will be fine, i'll just act as a girl who has a big emotional turmoil in the family but i need a cheer up from my true friends, like i need to keep calm & crave myself a box of cupcakes. (Match it w/ a hot cup of Milo 3 in 1 For Adults please, it's Christmas time!)
Hope everything will be a-ok for now, i don't want to be a loner now, i need to calm down, i should not release my anger. I would just take a deep breath & fix this worst case scenario so this situation will drop to the freezing point.

Just Got It! & Some Magazine Talk

Attention everyone! Yesterday, my little brother & my mom brought me a copy of the UAAP Magazine which is now sold at bookstores & magazine stands. (If you still don't have a copy yet but you are the biggest UAAP Fan-boy/Fan-girl ever, buy it NOW! Only P120, really a must-read for your UAAP Fix.) It's been about a few days of trying to buy a copy of this magazine, my clue to have this one-of-a-kind-magazine-for-college-sport-fanatics is actually good ol' Nico Salva of the Ateneo Blue Eagles. If you want to know more about the world of college sports or you want to know more of the athletes that rock the world of college sports, buy a copy of the UAAP Magazine now while it's hot! Good thing i finally have a copy of the UAAP Magazine after a few days of waiting! Right now, i'm enjoying it reading that while sipping a hot cup of Milo 3 in 1 For Adults. (Especially in the morning, after breakfast.) Alright, that magazine is now an add-on to my collection of magazines that i got as of 2003. I guess i have a lot of magazines right now.

I admit i have more magazines than books, i love to collect magazines related to Anime, fashion, beauty, college sports or Ateneo life or anything that tickles my interest. It's either a back issue or a present issue, it's about filling the curious mind. I have 4 magazines that i bought so far for this year, it's a record that i broke from only one last year. But it's ok, i love to buy back issues of some magazines at Filbar's. ARGH! Next thing to do is to buy a copy of the October 2006 issue of K-Zone because there was an article that is related to the Japanese heroes. I just found out about it last June of this year where i survived a rage rushed in my mind before a fated day. But somehow, i'm trying to buy a plastic container which is big & it can fill my favorite Anime magazines that i got since a decade ago so if i have a boring time after i give the computer & the TV a break, i would end up reading my favorite Anime magazines & remember the crazy times of the last 2 years of Grade School. So, if i have a back issue of the K-Zone October 2006 issue? I would rather take a break from everything & go nostalgic.

Oh, buy back issues is cheap, really, just below P1000. Missed out to complete a collection of your favorite magazines? Go & rush to Filbar's & buy the back issues of your favorite magazines to fill the holes in your collection.

Nostalgia Mode

If watching Sailormoon clips on You Tube is not enough to remember the craziest days when i was a kid, good thing i know what are their names in the English dub. I was at McDonald's yesterday for a light snack. I was even thinking about buying a Happy Meal, the featured toy for the girls is: Barbie In A Mermaid Tale. Whoa, it's sort-of ok for me since i need to have small dolls for my vintage Victorian 3-D Dollhouse that i got almost a decade ago when i was 11. Oh well, sometimes, childhood memories surely never fades. W/ 4 Barbie In A Mermaid Tale toys from McDonald's & 2 Lizzie McGuire toys from Jollibee is ready to be a must-have, hope there will be some re-selling of some toys like Naruto Shippuden from last June & some good ol' toys from Jollibee this year like, YOU KNOW IT! I would rather end up being a nostalgic girl until the end of this year. I would rather think that being nostalgic is like wearing a vintage shirt. Somehow, i can't wait to do that since being Nostalgic is like going on an antique shop & finding a bunch of vintage finds.

Oh well, should i do something right now? Time to remember the memories of childhood.

Little Brother Ups & Downs

A collection of thoughts & memories along w/ my little brother. Enjoy!

On the eyeglasses thing:
"You want to buy these pair of eyeglasses i have right now? What are you thinking about?"
"I want to buy one, but is there a pink-colored one?"
"No."
"Blue-colored one?"
"Yes, there's one, but you'll wear it sometimes, don't copy my look."
"Fine, i'll use it instead when i wear a blue-colored shirt or my Ateneo tees. Sorry, i just want to have a different look."

He watched some PR Clips on You Tube w/ me:
"You're watching PR W/ me? I caught you once watching PR! How could you....."
"Sorry."

Summer of 1997:
"Let's see what are the VHS Copies you rented right now. *checks the copies* What? Power Rangers The Movie again? Don't tell me we will watch this for the entire summer!"
"We watched this during your birthday, so, let's spent summer watching that movie, is it ok?"
"Fine w/ you."

A Slight Deja Vu

"Don't tell me this month is like June of this year, maybe on the early days before the middle."

Why there will be a slight Deja Vu of what happened last June to this December? Nah, maybe because of my accidental thoughts rushing in to my head, but maybe this is better & i'd wish this events that will happen this months should happen last June. I admit June of this year was the craziest unlike June of last year where i have to stuck on my bed & wandering. June of this year? Get out of the comfort zone & try to complete a collection of the first few books of Paulo Coelho. (It did really start on the last day of summer to be exact.) Anyway, it's a few days before Christmas but i feel December is like June. Just for this year, it will be different for next year, don't worry. But i'm going to look forward for the holidays, like buying a gift for my favorite Auntie as i help her showing her the big-time yet Power Rangers-inspired Christmas gifts i want to have this Christmas including of course, the Overdrive Tracker. I also have some 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys to buy, which is the Lizzie McGuire toys. (Speaking of Lizzie McGuire, Lizzie herself, Hillary Duff? I love her songs by the time she changed her hair-color from blonde to brunette. I would even look forward that i wish for Christmas, someone will give me the best Christmas gift w/love, With Love by Hillary Duff!)

I suddenly asked myself, what will be the turn of events of how can i buy the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for Lizzie McGuire? Will it be the same of what i did last June then for Card Captor Sakura which took me just 2 Saturdays? (1 Saturday & then the next Saturday.) But when it comes on the re-sold of the Jollibee Kids Meal toys which are sold all over this year, let me try to fill the holes in my collection, especially the 2 toys for PR Operation Overdrive. (So this time around, putting the toys in a cute chic tote bag will be A-Ok!) I feel crazy last June, but maybe this December, it's crazier than the craziest that i ever thought. Would i imagine about that? So, if the 1-Saturday-And-Then-The-Next-Saturday Plan will happen again, it's better for me to catch up on the episodes of Ryukendo. Kenji Narukami might become God Ryukendo & Fudou Jyoushirou, his BFF/Partner-in-crime will become Magna Ryugunou. Saturdays are the best when it comes on buying the Jollibee Kids Meal toys, like i remember this Jollibee TV ad from the 90's that everybody loves Saturdays. So until now, i love Saturdays.

Breaking news! My little brother is going to buy me a pair of eyeglasses that he bought for P50! Actually, it's kinda like sunnies for me, but it's more on the classic eyeglasses side w/ a chic vintage feel. The blue-colored frame is better for me, perfect for my blue-colored shirts & my Ateneo shirts. Can't wait to have that soon!

Happy Ateneo Friends

What a way to end the year 2010 for Ateneo than a 2nd win at the Philippine Collegiate Champions League over their worthy opponents, Adamson. But oh well, the UAAP teams dominated the PCCL again for the 8th straight year i guess. But in the end, the Blue Eagles are declared the one. The one true champion & the one king of Philippine College Basketball. But for the entire year, the Blue Eagles surpass a roller-coaster ride for the 3rd UAAP Tittle & the 2nd PCCL tittle. Yes, in the 73rd Season of the UAAP, hosted by Ateneo's 'Major-Major' headache, La Salle, why i said that? Because the Green Archers are always a threat for the Blue Eagles. We still don't know who is more dominant among these 2 foes who battled out against each other from their NCAA years until now in the UAAP. A 10-4 record is a far cry from the 2 13-1 records since they started to turn the UAAP into their aerial base for 2-3 years, but this year, the kids of Katipunan Avenue proved again to never under-estimate the heart of a champion. Came the final 4 & the finals, it looks like Ateneo is on it's way to history, a history they haven't done for a long time.

In other words, the Blue Eagles surpass a crazy UAAP Season 73, but who cannot forget the 2nd game of the finals where of course, the hero of the game, Ryan Buenafe aimed the mystical, overdriven, furious (or put any Super Sentai or Power Rangers-related good puns) 3-pointer before the 20-second mark of the final quarter. As the ball enters the ring, Ryan flashed his trademark swag by showing the Ateneo name of his jersey, the Ateneo Gallery of the Araneta Coliseum during that game jumps & screams for happiness as the former Rookie Of The Year turned Finals MVP become the hero of the game. (Of course, for Ryan, he got some hugs from his team-mates including his BFF/Partner-in-crime Nico & a kiss-in-the-cheek from Bacon. Please, don't think that Bacon just came out from the closet.) As the final buzzer sounded, it was Ateneo who created history. For the 3rd year in a row, Ateneo turned the UAAP into their aerial base again. A few days after the game, there's the traditional championship bonfire, wow, that was a good night then for the Ateneo kids.
Now, at the PCCL, it looks like this will be an hats-off moment for Eric & Jumbo as they will play for the last time in an Ateneo Jersey, facing opponents like Lyceum, Mapua & University of Cebu was surely like a crazy-roller-coaster, walk-in-the-park, not-a-piece-of-cake set of games before they face off Adamson. During the game one of the finals, the Falcons were surely lucky. But on the last 2 games, they fall on a Blue Eagle trap that was certified Ateneo-made like last year where Ateneo faced their unexpected opponent in FEU during last year's PCCL. But in the end, the Blue Eagles retain the throne as the one true champion for the 2nd year in a row. I salute Eric Salamat & Jason 'Jumbo' Escueta for a job well done for this year. But somehow, i will surely miss how Eric Salamat salutes the Ateneo Gallery after he does a wonderful shot every game. The question is, who will continue it? Let's wait for the next UAAP games came July of 2011.
As Eric Salamat took the Team Captain position of Jai Reyes for the Blue Eagles this year, the Blue Eagles didn't expect that they aimed for history. (Hmm, it looks like the quote i heard from Adam Park in PR Turbo ep. 3 is a Blue Eagle-worthy quote. Eric didn't expect that they aimed for history, for Nico, he didn't expect he will taste his first MVP award being in the Hail Mary Squad. & for us Ateneo fans, we didn't expect that Ryan's Turbo-powered 3 pointer is a shot for history.) Well, let's enjoy watching the replays of Ateneo's past games in the UAAP & the PCCL on the TV or You Tube before this year ends. Let's end this year by screaming 'ONE BIG FIGHT!' to celebrate the wonderful 2010 for the kids of Katipunan Avenue.

My Not-So Ordinary Christmas Wish List

I always change my Christmas wish list year after year, for this year, it's way too different from the usual, here's the lowdown:

  • Power Rangers toys from Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury & RPM
  • PR Super Legends Blue & Green Rangers Figures from PR Turbo
  • Crimson-Colored Nintendo DS w/ games!
  • MSI Wind U100 Laptop In Pink
  • Anything from Louis Vuitton (I heart LV!)
  • Get Blued Ateneo 3-Peat Championship Shirt & a blue-colored Vuvuzela
  • Samsung Champ in Espresso Brown
  • A cute 2011 Planner
  • Nike-Ateneo Team Shirt & Team Jacket
  • Adidas-La Salle Centennial Team Jacket & Team Shirt
  • Anything Ateneo, go & buy some at the LSB.
  • A bunch of re-sold Jollibee Kids Meal Toys & McDonald's Happy Meal Toys
  • A one year supply of Pocky (assorted flavors) & Milo 3-in-1 For Adults
Ok, so this is a waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too different Christmas wish list that i got unlike the past years. But about the LV goodies, that was after i received an LV shoulder bag from Auntie Maya, this year, i got started to use chic bags like the small shoulder/hand bag i used whenever i go malling w/ my family. Call me Blair Waldorf number 2 but i'm still Jumbo Escueta-tan or Jumbo Escueta the girl. But what tops my Christmas wish list right now? Power Rangers. I come back to the TV Franchise that changed my life for the better, i'm proud  to be the kid of the 90's because of that. So, let me think if i could ditch the Hua Ze Lei-like bedhead for an Adam Park-inspired Goldilocks look for the next UAAP Season. (Where is my Nico Salva jersey from this year?) & about the reason why i want to buy 2 selected PR Super Legends figures, especially from Power Rangers Turbo? Although i didn't watch the 3rd PR Team/Series released in 1997, it's my favorite among the first 10 PR series before the ABC/Jetix-released PR Teams from Ninja Storm to RPM. But why Blue & Green. It's not just about Ateneo & La Salle, it's about the cute kid who will end up becoming a Ranger & a Justin Chua-lookalike will end up having the cutest hairdo that Vic Zhou could not even imitate it. Sorry Zai-Zai, Emperor Lelouch wins the cutest hairdo battle.

Well, Advanced Meri Kurismasu, everyone!

Buying & Receiving Gifts For Christmas 2010

No more buying cheap gifts for Christmas 2010, i would try to stop buying cheap gifts now. As i try to buy gifts for my 'baby' for the Kris Kringle that will held on Christmas Eve after Noche Buena, minutes racing to Christmas Day, time to buy gifts which is worth P200 & above. I just can't wait to buy the gifts for my 'baby', but about the 'mommy' or 'daddy' who will give me a gift for this year's Kris Kringle, i don't know who will that be. I would rather wish that he/she would give me a meaningful gift, like Power Rangers toys or Ateneo/La Salle goodies or girly stuff. Yes, the best Christmas gift for me this year would be the Overdrive Tracker from my favorite Auntie, but about the other gifts? Let me know about it on December 25. But gak! Aside from my 'baby' for this year's Kris Kringle, i better buy gifts for my Auntie too whose birthday falls this month, now the question is, what should it be? Will it be a new bottle of perfume? More tees this time w/ Anime prints? Accessories for her laptop? Whatever, it should be meaningful for her like i would sent her Christmas cards that i draw w/ some Power Rangers drawings. Never mind, i'll just do it this weekend for sure.

Christmas is not just for kids, it's for everyone of all ages, young or old, boy or girl, no matter what. For me, i enjoy December's list of events like Christmas parties, family reunions, Kris Kringle, Noche Buena & many more. I even receive some worst & best gifts from the time i got started to go to grade school & the time i experienced how high school life would be crazy for me like attending 2 classes in Junior Year HS. The worst Christmas gift for me? Oh slightly semi-worst, a can of Campbell's Mushroom Soup. Although it's not worst for me, it would be fine for someone like me to try Campbell's Mushroom Soup whenever i'm hungry & collecting labels for recipes. This year? I can't decide yet, unless Anime goodies from 2001 & 2002 was the best for me. (Will the Overdrive Tracker+PR Toys & Pocky will make it to the best gifts list? Find out in 22 days.) About class Christmas Parties from Grade School to High School, it's a mix of best & worst. The worst was nothing, the best was some Anime goodies & a cute Digimon inflatable Agumon for Grade School. For High School? The worst was nothing, the best was a 6-pack Hershey's Kissables & cheesy gifts from Junior Year HS where i decided to bring a Hero Con paper bag which i received from the 2006 Hero Con on the day i met my BFF Rei. (Because more gifts can be a disaster when you didn't have a large paper bag to keep & carry it home!) Hurray for the craziness i did when i was in Junior Year HS during our class Christmas party.
No matter if i have less than 10 or more than 10 Christmas gifts, i would surely enjoy Christmas 2010.

Nostalgic Days

What happens if there's a day where you would love to go back in time if the days were hectic & stressed out. Everyday can be a nostalgia day, no matter what. Somehow, i remember the nostalgic days back one year ago due to my mom. This year, it gets nostalgic than i ever thought. Like i broke a Pocky stick between my teeth when i found out my mom is giving me some of her stuff. (Like what if i do that? I was even thinking i could do that because my mom & i are always stuck at home, there are times mom watches TV w/ me.) I remember i woke up one Thursday morning last month when mom told me that the tote bag she used once for Christmas one year ago will be already mine. I was in bed, sleepy & puffy-eyed, i heard what mom said. Now, it's like there are 2 Thursdays back last month where mom followed the heirloom rule. The most of them all? Of course, my beloved Grandmother. Although i'm the first daughter, Grandma kept requesting me to go on a vacation at her house anytime. I do really love what my Grandma gives to me. But, when it comes on spending a vacation at her house? Hmm, maybe i should bring a bag full of PR toys so i won't be homesick.

Now, about what just happened to me today, i was just doing my morning routine of watching clips on You Tube & BOOM! I just watched past TV ads for the Power Rangers toys! Ah, it reminds me about being the kid of the 90's. (You will never be a kid of the 90's when you haven't watched the Power Rangers.) Of all the TV shows i enjoyed watching since my childhood years, i surely enjoy watching Power Rangers, even until now. Not bad for me when my auntie called me Ms. Power Rangers or dad doing his best to buy the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive on re-sale mode. (Talk about some PR talk even we know that we sometimes 'clash' against each other due to the UAAP schools & teams we support, but never mind, we're just like friends aside from being dad-&-daughter.) Today for me is a Power Rangers Nostalgia Day for me after watching past PR toy ads on YT. I even could remember the times when i was a kid, i don't miss out on watching the episodes for MMPR-S2 & S3, even i could miss a single ep of PR Zeo & PR Turbo. For me, those PR memories during my grade school days were fun, even when i just re-entered high school back 6 years ago.
Even now when i crave for Pocky & drinking a tall glass of Pepsi, Coke Zero or a hot cup of Milo 3 in 1 For Adults, there will be the days where the past starts to enter. But if the chance that i will have the DVD copy of PR The Movie, let me take a break from watching the re-runs of Ateneo's games in the UAAP Season 73-Men's Basketball Games to watch how Adam Park & his pals save the world from evil before he control minds using the Geass just to become Lelouch vi Britannia, the 99th Emperor of Britannia. While watching it, i could cuddle myself in bed, hugging a Blue Eagle stuffed toy in one arm & remembering the movie that changed my life as a 90's kid. Let me admit, i enjoy being a Power Rangers fan-girl.

No Ordinary Holiday Weekend

I thought i'll be just stuck at the salon on a sunny-rainy-cloudy Monday morning/mid-afternoon, finding out that it's the last day of the long weekend that did start as early as Friday. I was at the salon, getting a haircut, after my mom told me that my 'do looked not fit for me, so she told me to get a haircut. As usual, i suggested a cute Vic Zhou-inspired haircut that can be changed from a simple bob to a sexy bed-head, like changing the hairstyle of a Taiwanese Pop Star to a Japanese Super Sentai or Power Rangers hero. Just even found lessons of getting the perfect hairdo like using hair gum even it's sticky. So it looks like i have to borrow my little brother's hair clay or buy one for myself since i'm vain of getting the perfect bed-head. As i see myself in the mirror, the hairstylist started to cut my hair, snipping & cutting using the sharp blades of the barber's shears. From a thick shoulder-length hair, it's now a short layered bob like i usually want to have, following what my relatives said that short hair is manageable. So, i need to follow what my relatives said, don't worry, i'll follow what my mom says on having a long, layered hairdo.

It's been a crazy long weekend for me & it did start last Sunday when i went out to the malls after my auntie invites us for lunch & shopping at Trinoma. Lunch at Gerry's Grill was great, Grilled Tuna Belly is the best, paired w/ white rice & Chopsuey, my drink is Coke Zero of course because that was my drink of the moment for the entire 2010. I bought myself a hotdog pillow so i can good night sleeps, bought that at Landmark. So, i just found out for myself that this is the craziest long weekend ever, more than the past long weekends that falls on the end of November. Time flies fast, December is on by tomorrow.

Vintage Thursdays With Mom & Black Weekend Must-Watch: PR Samurai Striker Trailer

Yesterday, mom gave me a compact sewing kit w/ mirror. Hey, i have seen this almost everyday on the dining table after i watched something on TV about a compact sewing kit. But it feels like it's not like last year's Shabby Chic Thursday where my mom gave her some of her accessories & wallets. This year, she gave me some or even most of her bags that was given by her beloved sister & one of my favorite Aunties. I remember one week ago, on a Thursday, i was still in bed when i heard something from mom that she will give me her black tote bag that she bought one year ago at SM. She only used it once, during last year's Christmas i admit. So, i got no choice but to use it & fill in my stuff in there. (Perfect to fit a cute Power Rangers Morpher/Cellphone like the Overdrive Tracker from PR Operation Overdrive & Cell Shift Morpher from PR RPM/Racing Performance Machines.) But what should it be included? The cute cellphone/morpher from PR Samurai Striker. It would be interesting to have morpher-cellphones in a chic tote bag, ei? & if mom continued to gave me some of her stuff, i'll end up reminding myself of Blair Waldorf. Good grief!

Today, i just watched the trailer for PR Samurai Striker that will be aired next year on Nickelodeon-US. (After the next 7 PR Teams that was aired on ABC & Jetix in the US since 2003. But in the Philippines, the Power Rangers is aired in ABS-CBN, Studio 23 & Cartoon Network on the Toonami programing block. since 2004.) What a way to start the black weekend right where everyone is getting started to feel the Christmas spirit as the start of the long weekend, everyone is hitting the malls to shop for gifts & stuff. I watched the trailer & i was stunned & amazed because the cute Red Ranger boy there, he reminds me of Chase Crawford of Gossip Girl! OMFG! Or maybe, Dan Ewing during PR RPM. But i have to wait for next year for that since it become a curious thought rushing in my head. But for now, enjoy watching this clip first!

Ok guys, let's enjoy the final days of November as we embrace December.

My Ateneo-La Salle Girl, My Power Rangers Girl

I guess i have this feeling that i want to watch My Amnesia Girl, i'm sure this is one funny movie, the movie theme song could be an LSS for me. But why? Maybe i would admit i'm a girl who has this weird amnesia of forgetting the one thing i loved since i'm still exploring who i am while growing up. In other words, i would rather ask Vic Zhou 'who u?' Because instead of staring a pic of an F4 boy who has this famous bedhead which he cut it short & make Maui Villanueva of the DLSU Green Archers cry. I look after this Power Rangers cute boy who reminds me of..... not Vic Zhou, but Justin Chua of the ADMU Blue Eagles. (minus the deep scar on his face that you would think that Justin-han is getting caught in a clash either in the dance floor of the disco w/ Lei's pals or the hard-court of the Araneta Coliseum against good ol' La Salle.) Forget the Dao Ming Shi-Xi Men Disco Rumble thing that ends in a disaster. Let's think how Joshua Webb gave Bacon Austria a big kick, you know when it comes on the Ateneo-La Salle games, anything can happen. Even a fried chicken could be a fried eagle according to a Green Archer's mind.

Shocker, Simon Atkins' first horror movie is re-aired, again? Wrong timing! The Ateneo Blue Eagles are up on the PCCL Sweet 16 & it looks like it's another Ateneo-La Salle Scary Event because the Team Captain of the host school for this season's UAAP Games are ready to scare the kids of Katipunan Avenue with his eyeliner-&-foundation-laid face, scaring Eric Salamat & his pals. Nico Salva's goosebumps are on because it looks like this is the new side of the legendary rivalry in the UAAP. But what's more shocking? Hmm, i've watched a bunch of Ryan Buenafe Videos on You Tube related on his performance since his UAAP debut 2 years ago. The magical, mystical, overdriven, furious, geared-up (Say any Power Rangers-related morphing puns here.) 3-pointer makes the Ateneo Gallery including the so-called Buenafans & Buenafriends scream. He kept his promise since last year's bonfire. As Ryan stretched his jersey, showing the Ateneo name, his team-mates came in. Nico gave him a hug as he rushed from Ryan's back. Eric came in next to give his a tight bear-hug. But Bacon? He gave Ryan a hug & a kiss in the cheek. (Nico was shocked?????) It looks like Bacon is going to be Nico's rival for Ryan. Oh no. Crazy Bromance Story held in the UAAP Season 73 Finals Game 2, what a must-watch.
Oh well, it's like for me, i better wait for UAAP Season 74 & of course, Power Rangers Samurai Striker. A must-watch for an excitng year where the best super-heroes & the best college cagers dominate the upcoming year.

A Tekken Affair

What happens when me & my siblings ended up on playing Tekken? It's going to be crazy. I suppose i decided to beg my beloved Auntie to buy me a DVD of the live-action movie of the hit video game series which i admit, it was a must-watch after i had an instant crush w/ John Foo, the Irish-Chinese cutie who played the role of Jin Kazama. Surely enough, after we receive the PS2 from our Auntie, we decided to give it a shot & play the games, surely, Tekken is in the list, but it's no ordinary Tekken, it's Tekken 5! But surely enough, i'll try to buy the other games at Greenhills including the other Tekken series. But somehow, playing Tekken w/ the siblings is surely fun after all, not unless we know our favorite characters. So, my little sister has found some while i found some, but for one character, we love it like my love for Korean food & Kimchi! Now, let's talk about our favorite characters in Tekken.

My little bro's favorite Tekken characters that he mostly use are Hwoarang & Law. (Here's a fun fact, Hwoarang is a Korean! So, it's like my little brother eats Kimchi or Dolsot Bibimpap while playing Tekken 5!) But for me, i also love to use Hwoarang but i prefer on the girls. Like Asuka Kazama (which is my all-time favorite!), Ling Xiaoyu & the Williams sisters (Anna & Nina). For the boys? Jin Kazama, Hwoarang, Lei Wulong & Lee. So, it looks like i really got hooked on Tekken. But the bad news, i have 2 defeats on Tekken 5! So, i got no choice on finding out how can i get my first win. Got to practice my hands on controlling the characters of my choice for now so i can get the first win.

Ateneo & Boukenger Engagement

Color of the moment: BLUE. I would do the Blue Eagle The King Cheer since this color has a significance to my dear life as of 3 years ago. Hmm, maybe the color of Blue has a different significance for me right now after i heard the news that Prince William is already engaged to his long-time GF Kate Middleton. The ring is actually a sapphire-&-diamond ring which is also the same ring Prince Charles use to say 'will you marry me?' to Princess Diana. Now, the engagement ring become an instant hit & every girl wants to have that ring. Dad even asked me if i want to go to London to see the Royal Wedding for next year. I would even think about that, but having the replica of the engagement ring, it will be a must-have, even i don't have a boyfriend for 22 years, being the long-time member of the No Boyfriend Since Birth Society Group For Girls. After hearing the news about the ring, a jewelry store in NYC received orders for the replica of the ring. It looks like every girl want to get engaged in a ring that created the buzz for the biggest royal wedding ever, sorry girls, Prince William is going to be married next year.

& now the reason why i want to have the ring that created the buzz of the moment. Maybe i was still stuck in these crazy thoughts in my mind about 2 things: Ateneo De Manila University & Go Go Sentai Boukenger. That was crazy, i even told my Auntie via text to watch Boukenger's western counterpart, PR Operation Overdrive if there's a holiday on a weekday & there's no work to do on a holiday. Blue is the color of the moment for me for 3-4 years. The color of revolution, representing the royal blood & the color of the skies on a clear day. Maybe the sapphire is not just the colored gem i want to have in the ring. I also want onyx, ruby, topaz & more. Call me the girl who ended up watching Boukenger in a portable DVD player while heading to Ateneo. 6 rings w/ 6 different colored gems, the magic of Boukenger is trapped inside me whenever i would cheer for Ateneo. Hey, i just want to buy the blue-colored Vuvuzela, i really need that for the New Year to become loud like the Ateneo-La Salle games & the heat of the UAAP Season 73 Finals where Ateneo wrote it's name in the UAAP History Books. A blue-colored Vuvuzela & an Accellular/Overdrive Tracker is hanging on my left hand w/ the replica of the sapphire-&-diamond ring hanging on my ring finger. 2 thoughts trapped in my mind, talk about the Blue Boys: Masashi Mikami & Nico Salva. :)
Blue is already now the color of the revolution, even on a time where a prince found his perfect princess. For me, i still don't have the time to find my prince. But i found treasures that could make my life better even i have the fear of imperfection.

Keep Calm

"I will be calm if i bought the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive when they're on a re-sale."

That's what i told to dad on a semi-dramatic night last night after i was forced to sweep the floors, i was frowning, looking angry & at the same time, the thought was rushing in my head that after this, i want to collapse when i land in my bed after a hard work of sweeping the floors. He kept telling me to cool down, but i said i can't, i just ended up being hot headed like there's a bomb exploded in my head. The fire in my head & eyes started to lit up stronger as i become hot-headed, but calming me down? Try to pour a 2-litter bottle of Pepsi in my head or force me to watch the replays of this year's UAAP Finals so i can see again how Kiefer Ravena & Eric Salamat created history for the kids of Katipunan Avenue, just the Juniors-Game 3 for the Eaglets & the Seniors-Game 2 for the Eagles, please. (Let me admit, Bacon Austria gave Ryan Buenafe a 'bromance kiss', don't worry, Nico Salva was not shocked, at lease Salva was calm.) Maybe just to calm myself down, i'd better think about  a lot about the Bacon Austria-Eric Salamat-Ryan Buenafe-Nico Salva-Justin Chua bromance moments from the finals of UAAP Season 73 after Ryan's cold-blooded dagger 3.

In other words, i hate getting pissed because whenever my mom pisses me for not sweeping the floors, it's like there's a volcano exploded at the back of my head & suddenly, BOOM! I lost my cool & ended up being hot-headed like a monster or even crazier, a vampire. & suddenly, a few hours later, i would lock up in the bedroom & cry buckets of tears, i lost my cool, in just a few minutes. Holy Guacamole. So, i hate getting pissed because the worst of it might land me for a heart pain or worse, collapse! The first few days of last month after Ateneo won it's 3rd UAAP Tittle & before the heart-stopping semester break was like a drama series, something like a Taiwanese drama show. As i thought last night, it's like The Hospital to me, Jerry Yan should be the cutest Male Psychiatrist ever, his advice: You will be fine, if you bought the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive on a re-sale, you will be calm. Not bad for a girl thinks that instead of looking like Vic Zhou, she's ended up looking like Masashi Mikami in a Nike-Ateneo Team Shirt & Team Jacket. Was it just like the Ryan Buenafe cold-blooded 3 for that?

My mind told me last night, calm down, Jumbo-tan, if mom continues to piss you, the thought about you will get a bruise that will last until the day you will receive your Overdrive Tracker on Christmas Day could be a disaster. Prepare the tiger balm, it's a first aid for bruises. But it gets worse that i thought, save up to buy the Nike-Ateneo Team Shirt & Team Jacket. (I don't want to cry on Christmas Day, telling my Auntie that mom & i had a misunderstanding gone wrong. The bruises will be a no-no to my Jumbo Escueta-ish body.) Or maybe, the bruises that i might receive will be as worst than the bruise on the back of my little sister last February where i end up acting like a scary kid as i rub my mom's ginger balm on her back to ease the bruise. But when it comes on calming down after losing cool. I can either reach for the bottle of Pepsi or the remote when there's a UAAP Game Replay on TV. But it gets worse than i thought, switch to plan b.

Guten Tag, Arnold Van Opstal!

Attention all fans of the DLSU Green Archers! Former DLSZ Standout Arnold Van Opstal who is half-German but he's also half-Pinoy is heading to DLSU next year as he joins his fellow Junior Archer Team-mates like Nico Elorde & Luigi Dela Paz. I stumble upon this article today as i'd wish that next year's UAAP Season will be as mind-blowing as this season like the good ol' tension of the legendary Ateneo-La Salle rivalry & we still don't know who will dominate. Some say Archers, others say Eagles. WTH? Let's look forward for that next year because it will be intense than this year. Next year will be the most intensive Archer-Eagle face-off. Ok, so Mr. Van Opstal will be a Green Archer next year, he's going to give former UV Lancer-turned-present ADMU Blue Eagle Greg Slaughter a nightmare. (YIKES!) Now this will be the intensive battle than ever. So, we have to look forward for that next year. We're still on a hangover from this year's UAAP Season where La Salle's legendary arch-nemesis retains the crown for the 3rd consecutive year. Can anyone stop the kids of Katipunan Avenue? Maybe the kids of Taft Avenue will do it, but if not, it looks like the Eagles will turn the UAAP into their lair.

Come to think of it, Fil-foreigners & foreigners who started to play high school basketball or being recruited by top UAAP Schools & ended up playing 3-5 years of Philippine Collegiate Basketball are now shining further in the UAAP since 3 years ago. The most dominant? Good ol' Ateneo & La Salle. From the kids of Taft Avenue, they got Fil-British Simon Atkins who is the Team Captain of the Green Archers & Indonesian center Ferdinand, the one-named Green Archer. (who made hell to Nico Salva & Jumbo Escueta last summer.) On the kids of Katipunan Avenue, they got former Faith Academy stalwart Jeffrey Kirk Long who can speak fluent Filipino aside from his native American English but can play basketball & baseball (remember his buzzer-beater from the ADMU-UST R2 Game on his rookie year for UAAP Season 70? It happened 2 days before his birthday!) but what makes him a hot-shot player for the Blue Eagles? Sharp-shooting 3-pointers from the 3-point range & even his hair, blonde or brunette, he can handle it, even it's messy or crew-cut. New in the list of the Blue Phenoms is Fil-Am Gilas Standout Gregory 'Greg' Slaughter. Now, both teams have players of different races, get ready for the intensified ADMU-DLSU Game came this coming UAAP Season 74.

For Arnold Van Opstal, he's ready to aim the target, beware!

Mom's Shampoo Law

Mom: From now on, you should buy your own shampoo that fits the needs of your hair! We can't stick to one shampoo brand so buy the shampoo brand that fits you! So, follow that rule!

Last October 20, mom told me & my little sister to buy the shampoo brand that fits our hair needs. We were shocked because it all started on a time we have to use one shampoo brand & ending up using it a lot or the shampoo doesn't fit our hair needs! So, it rushed in to my mind to do the unthinkable that reminds me of the crazy days of the first half of this year where i receive more than 1 box of the Sunsilk Damage Repair System (Co-created by Bobsoho owner & creative director Thomas Taw who is trusted by the best international super-models to repair their damaged hair.) I only kept the box that has a receipt which i received on my dad's birthday on the last day of summer. God, that was the unforgettable box ever. But, the wackiest event ever is when i got it for the 2nd time after last February. Dad went inside the living room & i was using the computer, suddenly, dad went home w/ my 2nd Sunsilk Damage Repair System 10-Day Trial Kit! I dropped my jaw & i was shocked. HU-WAT? Will one text for a free shampoo sampler ended up in 3 kits? OMG! So mom, i'll follow the rule.
Last week, i visited my Grandmom to check her out after the most intensive semestral break of my dear life because i was worried about my grandma's health. Suddenly, after i watched a shampoo TV commercial on TV & suddenly, Uncle Kaji went to his room & gave me a free shampoo & conditioner gift! (Sunsilk Hair Fall Solutions Shampoo 100ml, Co Created by NYC-Based Dermatologist Dra. Francesca Fusco & Cream Silk Pink 50ml Sampler Tube.) Now, it looks like i have to drop my jaw again as i end up following mom's rule of buying my own shampoo. Ok mom, i'm going to follow the rule of buying my own shampoo that fits me. What i just thought by accident, Sunsilk already launched the refill packs for the shampoos. That's good! Sorry for being the super-vein type of girl who is vein on looks, from her crowning glory to her fair skin & a body that needs to lose the bulge to get the perfect body. But when it comes on buying the shampoo, i might speak in my Blair Waldorf-like accent that makes blondie-turned-brunette Leighton Meester famous, about buying the shampoo. It's ok, it's a girl thing.

Thanks mom, from now on, i'm buying my own shampoo so i won't bother borrowing a shampoo the next time i take a bath.

Living The (Vintage) Teenage Dream

That's silly, the song, 'Teenage Dream' by Katy Perry is my LSS for now since i heard that for the first time last Saturday. It was going to be one of my favorite songs for this year. So, i just found out that 2010 for me is like i'm living the teenage dream. Very interesting, i guess that will be one of my favorite songs for now. (Like if i would upload a bunch of songs & save it on my dad's MP4 Player that he will give to me anytime soon. Don't worry dad, i will keep this since i called this, a techie heirloom.) That's it, why i haven't known about the word 'Heirloom' when i was a kid? I was just 19 when i learned about it by accident as i discover my Grandma's old issues of Victoria & Country Living that is still stuck in the study room & i was the only one who is reading it whenever i drop by there for a vacation or visit at Grandma's house. Being the first grand-daughter surely is a pressure, but Grandma keeps begging me to have a vacation at her house. Hmm, give me some time for that. The craziest vacation at Grandma's house was back 2 years ago on October 31 during the long weekend that falls on a Friday. Perfect moment: watching PR Operation Overdrive on Cartoon Network donning my favorite floral shorts that my little sister gave to me & my tattered Ateneo tee that i just retired last month after the Blue Eagles created UAAP Championship History on a Saturday morning. Now i wish mom will return the floral-printed shorts, there's an importance in those pair of shorts!

Next week, i'll get started to find the stuff i just found out we have it at home. Like the Victorian doll house i got 11 years ago, mom's old magazines & some interesting books like The Purpose Driven Life. I remember Uncle Kaji gave me a book called 'Being Happy' & i read it whenever i feel down & depressed, trying to cheer up aside from ignoring the negative things of the world by turning on the music. (I was even thinking that if i got my very first solo pic of Maui Villanueva of the DLSU Green Archers, it will be the perfect cheer-upper.) But what's up with the stuff that i need to find? Gosh, good memories never fade. Maybe i would love to buy the Initial D Movie DVD at Comic Alley after i watched the movie on a Taiwanese TV Channel last Saturday. (Jay Chou was surely cute there.) It's something like Junior Year HS where i need to collect some Initial D Movie snippets from newspapers. Ah, Junior Year HS is like i got started to live the Teenage Dream from attending 2 classes that could push me to the limit to attending a debut where i have to look more than the usual me as a student & of course, a lot of things.
Sounds like for me, it's a vintage teenage dream for me.

JED: Jumbo Escueta Disease

Forget losing weight so you want to get Vic Zhou's body, the new disease which is spreading like a virus is from a Blue Eagle who ended up being a crybaby when the Blue Eagles won tittle number 3 in the UAAP this season. The sinister? It's Edwin Jason Escueta, or simple known as Jumbo. If you think you're thin & you need some weight, because this is one athletic-related thing that you should have to do. Right now, i just found out that i'm suffering a disease called JED, better known as Jumbo Escueta Disease. But why? Jumbo weighs 230lbs, not that bad for an athlete w/ a big body which is perfect for shooting hoops. (Actually, it was Justin Chua who started it all but although his body is somewhat slight chubby, he can shoot hoops, hmm, good performance from this UAAP Season, Justin-han.) But who cannot forget the thoughts of basketball critics saying that Ryan Buenafe is not fit for this year's UAAP Season because he gained weight? Ryan proved that the critics were wrong after he did the magical 3-pointer last September 30 which become a red (or blue) letter day for the Blue Eagles.

As i look to myself right now, i guess i'm suffering from JED & i almost have Jumbo's body. So maybe, i need to lose some bulge for now to make sure i'm still in tip-top shape, just smacking it in to the center. Not too fat, not to skinny. Just right.

Halloween Times

I think i remember some Halloween memories of mine when i was still in Junior Year HS. The big-time costume: black-colored shirt w/ a Rinoa Heartilly Airbrush Print, denim jeans & rubber shoes, a witch's hat from my mom & the classroom broom will do the trick. Play Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' & the classroom is now surrounded w/ ghosts, witches & Halloween creatures. Good thing i won best in costume, even my costume was way too simple. But in the end, i end up being the prepped up girl for the party. No wonder since 2003, i'm always the life of the party, no matter what theme will be, even i have to look scary. But never mind, the highlight of this scary time of the year is the trick or treat. Kids in scary or cute Halloween costumes goes house after house to collect treats in the form of candies & toys. Will the young adults do trick or treating too? Not unless if they want to join along w/ the kids & have the feeling of being a kid again. You know, remembering the good times when we are young surely pulls out a good feeling & a positive vibe.

That's crazy, horror movies are now on the loose one after the other day after day. I still have the hangover of that horror movie that i watched 2 months ago, a few days before Ateneo-La Salle R2 for UAAP Season 73 that makes Simon Atkins, the team captain of the DLSU Green Archers a zombie, due to the black eyeliner & prosthetics that turns him from 1 of La Salle's promising players to a ghost that might give Eric Salamat & the ADMU Blue Eagles a deserved scare, away from the hard-court. I just imagined how the players of the 3-time UAAP Champions scream loud as they ran for their dear lives as Simon gives them the ultimate scare. But now, my mom surely loves to watch horror movies. Let's remember, we surely love to hear the stories related to the world of the super-natural & the unknown. We also heard about beliefs that has a twist of mystery, making us curious. But somehow, i'm looking forward to watch Asian Horror Movies from Japan, Korea & Taiwan. Happy Halloween, everyone!

Japanese Hero Cute Boy Love

I feel like when having a crush on the hottest Toku heroes, especially the cutest boys, i won't deny it, especially when it comes on my favorite Toku crushes. Cute Japanese boys who could almost sacrifice their dear lives to save the lives of others. But in real life, they don't have powers after all. But what they got? Talent & potential. But how come they entered this field which is somewhat different? They don't really impress, but to express their personality. But they don't bring their characters that they play in their respective Toku shows to reality. Because in real life, there's no monsters to defeat but only problems is considered their personal monsters, they don't have a device to transform them from ordinary to extra-ordinary but a smile will surely be the perfect device & lastly, they don't have any weapons, their only weapon is how they impress themselves on camera. But what is one thing they have? The energy, the good vibe & the positive attitude that they pull out as they open up to the characters they play. But how come they become the Japanese heroes they play in their Toku shows? Can i ask this simple question why the boys of Toku never lost their energy, some of them even contributed their other talent like singing? (Admit it, some of them are singers & band vocalists. They even sang songs for their respective KR series, that's what i called Rider Contribution!) Now, let me count the ways.

These guys want to get out of their comfort zone. Something like after playing roles in other TV shows, they have never done one thing, becoming a hero? Or maybe they thought to themselves that they never become superheroes as they enter the entertainment business in Japan. So, these boys decided to do the unthinkable. If they wished to be part of the best Japanese Superhero franchises like Super Sentai & Kamen Rider, their wishes will grant, even they just don't know about it! Surprise, surprise, their hardwork & good impression to the public might give them the ultimate break on becoming a hero. But somehow, becoming a superhero is like they are now opening a door to a new world, away from the world they already know. In the new world, they have superpowers & weapons, they also have devices that could transform them in the hero which is meant for them. & the enemy? A big monster which is bigger than their personal problems in reality. As they say the magic Japanese keyword for transformation, they will never be the same human beings again. But after all, they are just humans, anyway.

So, maybe after all of that saving the world against evil is already done, reality for them will be way to different than before. But being a hero? They will leave a mark that they were chosen to save the world from evil forces who tries to dominate & rule the world. I'm sure the boys are not just only ones who appreciated Toku, even the girls. Just because the boys of Toku are cute, nice & of course, awesome! So, if you're way too tired of the drama boys who could make you cry but looking out on boys who are kicking some serious enemy butt? Have a dose of the Toku boys & your life will never be the same again. I even found out that when i have a crush on the boys of Toku, my life will never be the same again. Totally. These uber-cute Japanese Hero boys surely leaves a mark on a note that saving the world is their job as a hero, but impressing the girls? Their good looks might count on it.

Nico Salva's Goosebumps (Who Has It?) & The Vic Zhou-Maui Villanueva Face-Off

"I just get goosebumps....." -Nico Salva, ADMU Blue Eagles

Take those thoughts from Mr. Salva before ADMU Blue Eagles Team Captain Eric Salamat concludes it w/ ".....when i salute the crowd, after a big play." added w/ a salute. But i feel that why did Nico didn't conclude that? I guess it's like a 'complete-the-sentence' game right now. Don't tell me i get goosebumps because i found my first crush? No, it's not Hua Ze Lei. It's Adam Park. Uh, the silent kid got a taste of a Falcon Kick from a Jumbo Escueta & Justin Chua-looking Power Ranger. (Let's admit that Adam Park is a mix of some Ateneo players. But it's like a combination of Nico Salva, Jason 'Jumbo' Escueta & Justin Chua. Hurray for his Chris Tiu-inspired Chinese looks!) So, i decide to play a game of 'complete the sentence until i end up playing it. Like I Just Get Goosebumps Whenever I Hear A Vic Zhou Song In My Head. (Oh crap. I just sing Mandarin when in Pinyin.) Those memories of 2003 could be fine if i could watch The Poor Prince all over again. But that was after the time Vic Zhou's hairdo was so Lei-ish, before he makes a Green Archer cry. (Poor Maui Villanueva!)

No way, the first time i saw some really-new Zai-Zai pics around last year, those Nico Salva-ish goosebumps were unleashed as my eyes become wide-open. Has Vic Zhou realized that he might end up as Maui Villanueva's missing older brother? Just because the youngest member of 1 of Taiwan's hottest pop groups does mistaken for the 3rd Year Green Archer who is formerly from UPIS & Higashiyama High School. Sorry guys, i still don't have any Maui Villanueva solo pics for now. But sorry Zai-Zai, Maui is still drop-dead gorgeous when he's on the hardcourt. Whoever thinks of a plan to give me a link full of Maui Villanueva pics from greenarchers.ph, FINE! Thank you in advance. But between a Taiwanese Pop Star & a Green Archer, Maui wins this face-off. Just don't give Maui the microphone, he can't sing. Just give him the basketball, bring him to the hardcourt & see him shoot hoops, rebounds the ball & block the opponent's shots. (So that's why during the Ateneo-La Salle R1 Game during UAAP Season 73, on the battle of the forwards, he was compared to Nico Salva.) The problem right now for Maui is those eye-bags underneath his eyes. (I hate it when my mom throws bad puns over him like he's a insomniac Archer.)

I found out my first crush is a Power Ranger, thanks to the Nico Salva-ish goosebumps that lingers me whenever i watch those uber-cool PR clips on YT. Now, when Vic Zhou says goodbye to his trademark bed-head hairdo as he already got a Maui Villanueva-inspired hairdo, he makes 1 Green Archer cry. Sorry Vic, Joshua Webb doesn't listen to a sappy Vic Zhou tune. He might end up as a rock-star in a Green Archer jersey.
I still need those Maui Villanueva pics! Or else, the ghost of Simon Atkins will haunt you in Halloween next Sunday!

A Very Different Semestral Break

This year's semestral break is waaaaayyyyyy too different from the past semestral breaks since 2003. I remember when i was still in High School, the words 'Sem Break' for me is all about having fun after the heart-stopping first semester. Sometimes, we would rather go out of town for a vacation or even i would love to drop by at my Grandma's house to waste the boring days as take a break from being a student. Maybe i can't forget the crazy Sem Break of 2006 because that was the craziest Sem Break of them all when i was in Junior Year HS. Semestral Break is always a part of student life where every student needs a break from a bunch of school work. Yeah, like i would watch some replays of UAAP Season 73 right now. There are 3 breaks of every student, Semestral Break which it takes 2 weeks, Christmas Break which also takes every 2 weeks & Summer Break which takes the longest of them all, 2 months. Maybe i admit i remember when i was in Sophomore Year HS, that was the craziest sem break of them all. No, i don't watch a Meteor Garden marathon thinking about getting Vic Zhou's hairdo. I just attend a baptismal, i was the youngest god-mother of them all, i was 17 back then. Sheesh~ Maybe i just want to be the youngest god-mother of them all, even i would read a bunch of school-books balancing myself as a student. (Think that i'm the youngest God-mother who sports the hairdo's from Taiwanese Pop stars to Japanese Super-heroes to Blue Eagle cagers to Green Archer cagers.) Maybe the next thing i would do is to wear some Ateneo or La Salle-related studs.
It kinda reminds me right now of 5 years ago. Now, i become the auntie. Just because a cousin of mine is already a happy father. What? I tried baby-sitting when i was in Sophomore Year HS! So, maybe i would try to become the perfect auntie even i sport a Vic Zhou hairdo & dress up like the many Ateneo fans via the Nike-Ateneo Team Gear. Maybe this year's sem break will be the very different one gets even more interesting w/ a PS2? Cool. Don't even wait for the 2nd semester because this year's sem break will be as mind-blowing as it gets. If the Meteor Garden replays does drive you nuts to see Vic Zhou over & over again, try to watch a Power Rangers Operation Overdrive replay this year. James Mclurcan can be the hero of the moment. Try to give your school bag a worth-it wash so you can use it for the upcoming 2nd semester. & lastly, don't forget to study. Don't waste this sem break for nothing. But for now, i guess i would try to complete a promise from last summer. A promise from my favorite playmate. So, enjoy your sem break, everyone.

Itching For A Hair Color

I just thought about this last night after i checked out the site for the new L' Oreal Professionel Hair Color System known as Inoa. I also checked out a page featured in the October 2007 issue of Candy Magazine which i got a few months ago. Ok, so my mom wants to keep my hair long & get a long, layered haircut a few days before Christmas day hits December. So maybe for the haircut, i might do the unthinkable. I never had my hair colored for more than 20 years in my dear life, i just end up using colored clip-on hair highlighters instead. But now, due to my personality matters & ending up having a crush on the hottest Japanese super-heroes even i'm also a fan of the UAAP's top teams like Ateneo & La Salle. I have to do the unthinkable where no Blue Eagle/Green Archer fan will do. I have no choice but to give my hair the perfect color it needs. Like what? I need a hair color? Fine! I don't want to end up looking boring since i survived numerous hair catastrophes of my dear life trying to give style to my crowning glory. (Does wearing the blue-colored afro wig counts? Only if i could watch a live Ateneo game for next year, that will count.)
Ok, so buying blue-colored wigs are only for watching a game of the Ateneo Blue Eagles will count, but coloring my hair to virgin black to a color of my choice using Inoa Hair Color? Hmm, let me decide about the hair color. As i browse pics of my favorite Japanese Super Heroes, i guess i found the perfect one. After i stumble upon this pic:
Oh my goodness, don't call me Little Miss Blue Eagle for nothing. Let me admit that Shouta's hair color is sort of milk chocolate brown in shade. It's like i was i feel my love for milk chocolate bars like craving for a Kit Kat. But having Shouta's hair color could be a piece of cake, i feel like i'm not the same person again. Now this will be more difficult than buying more than 10 bottles of a leave-on hair conditioner to beat the frizz in my hair! Don't think i'm just like Vic Zhou steals a hairdo from Maui Villanueva. Think i'm Jumbo Escueta who tries to be like Masashi Mikami. :) (That's why for 3 years in a row, the town is still painted in Blue!) I would rather look like a mix of a Japanese Super Sentai hero or a Power Ranger fusing w/ a Blue Eagle or Green Archer. (Nike-Ateneo Team Gear & Adidas-La Salle Team Gear is still an option.) So, what will be the biggest hair style of choice? Long, layered hairdo w/ my hair colored in shades inspired by the hottest Japanese Super Heroes, Power Rangers & cagers from ADMU & DLSU. I nearly forgot, i would also love to have Kirk Long's brunette hair w/ blonde highlights that he sported last season. So, i have so many choices on coloring my hair.

For now, goodbye to the disasterous hair styles that could let me on not achieving Vic Zhou's famous bedhead before he make Maui Villanueva cry because he steals his hairdo. The chocolate-colored hair that Masashi Mikami dons in Boukenger & the chameleon hair colors of Kirk Long upon his arrival for the Ateneo Blue Eagles for 4 consecutive years (Thanks to his older sister who learns hair styling abroad!) was like making me think of itching for a new turn in my hair. Japanese Super Heroes & College Cagers were my inspirations of giving my hair the color it needs. For now, i don't just itch for a hair cut, maybe a hair color might work. Let me try the magic of Inoa.

Semestral Break & 2nd Semester Surprise!

Semestral Break is already here! Before 2nd semester kicks off next month, students need a break from a heart-stopping 1st semester full of work. Somehow, i'm just looking forward for the PS2 of course. Well, if it wasn't for Auntie Maya, this year's sem break will never be the same again. I guess, not unless i would have to wait for the 2nd semester to kick off. Would i try to spend my time playing on the PS2 in the afternoon except on Thursdays where i waste my time watching the replays of UAAP Season 73. PCCL kicks off on November 18, let's see if Ateneo creates history again. Sorry guys, i'm focusing on attending the upcoming Ateneo Campus Bazaar on the merry month of December since i'm waiting for the Jollibee-related scenario at Jollibee-Katipunan Avenue which is fronting ADMU. (The scenario? If the Power Rangers Operation Overdrive toys are re-sold there & i'm in Blue Eagle territory. Can you say Overdrive, Accelerate meets One Big Fight?) Well, anything can happen in Katipunan Avenue, all we need to wait is for December to arrive.

The surprise is, my Auntie just told me last month that they will gave us the PS2. But what's this, only with 3 games? Hell no! I want all of the PS2 Games that they had! Well, it would be interesting if i waste my boring time waiting for Thursday's UAAP re-play games if i play my favorite games on the PS2 like Tekken & Naruto. But on the weekends, i would rather go out on Saturday nights if dad is not at home by a Saturday night, like what we did last June which was the best of them all. Maybe, i'll spend my boring afternoons glued to the PS2.
So far, it's like a race against time between me & my Auntie on who's going to get the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive if it's on a re-sale before this year ends. If Auntie Misato has it, i might drop by at Grandma's house & claim it while i would love to munch some light snacks & watching Power Rangers RPM & Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. (Plus of course, good 'ol souvenirs from there like food & Uncle Kaji's Anime-related thesis from 1 of his students at AC.) But if i have it, i might end up drinking too much Coke Zero like what i did last June. If either one of this scenarios happen before this year ends, nothing beats seeing my Auntie watching PR RPM on weekends. (Caught! My favorite Auntie is watching Power Rangers RPM (Racing Performance Machines) on weekends! I guess she is bitten by the PR Bug i guess.) Let's see which scenario will happen. Will it be mine or for Auntie Misato? Let's keep our fingers crossed for that.

Are you ready for HIAB Version 2 next year?

Are you ready for HIAB Version 2 next year?

Answer here

Auntie's Surprise

Last night, i was writing some stuff in my PR Operation Overdrive notebook, it was quite a see-saw day for me yesterday that could almost land me in sleeping for 2 hours. (While the TV is on for the replays of UAAP Season 73!) While jotting down some notes, i suddenly thought to myself that what if there was a time that the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive are on a re-sale, Auntie bought both toys behind my back & I DIDN'T KNOW IT! Oh no, that's what i called a surprise is created behind my back. Let's say she would set me up on dropping by at Grandma's house over the weekend either a visit or vacation. (Let me confess, my Auntie is watched Power Rangers RPM!) As i drop by there, nothing fancy happens, just a drop by & suddenly, the surprise happens. So, read on the conversation below on what happens when i found out that Auntie did her surprise behind my back & i didn't even know it!
(At Grandma's house)
Jumbo-tan: So, you have a surprise behind my back? You didn't told me. You texted me that i need to drop by here this weekend, is this a set-up of yours?
Auntie Surprise: Jumbo-tan, so that's why i told your dad to bring you here because of this! *shows 2 small plastic bags containing 2 toys*
Jumbo-tan: *eyes become wide-open & jaw drops* WHAT THE ATENEO BLUE EAGLES IS THIS????? This is the 2 toys that i've been begging for since September! You mean.....
Auntie Surprise: I bought you 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for Power Rangers Operation Overdrive behind your back during the week! I did it in secret so i would surprise you this weekend!
Jumbo-tan: So, you mean that you bought it behind my back! I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA AT ALL!
Auntie Surprise: Look Jumbo-tan, i went to Jollibee w/ my office-mates for lunch & i found out that the Jollibee Kids Meal toys sold last September are on a re-sale. So, i bought you the 2 toys for PR Operation Overdrive together w/ the meals. You were at this event related to the Philippine Comics industry during that time. I didn't told you about it via text, so instead, i texted your dad to bring you here so you can pick up the toys & the meals! Isn't this the best surprise ever, Jumbo-tan?
Jumbo-tan: Surprise gone Overdrive. *rolls eyes*
So, this means Auntie has a surprise that she does behind my back, i didn't understand & somewhat, a worthy surprise that could turn my life on the right track. It was just right that my dad's relatives could give me a surprise or 2 that i even didn't know, a surprise that could turn me into a better person. If that happens, i might even pull out a better look more than the usual outfits i wore. Looking classy than boring, having my hair pig-tailed using cute pig-tail holders & there was a designer bag clinging or hanging in my hands or shoulder. This could be the craziest sem break ever as the 2nd semester draws near. Get ready for the craziest surprises to come.

Overdriven Me

"Forgive me if i'm like this."

In 2 months, Auntie Misato will give me the best gift ever, the Overdrive Tracker. Maybe she might buy the entire PR Operation Overdrive toy roster that is sold at Toy Kingdom. It looks like it reminds me of the picture i saw in my Auntie's bedroom, it still framed for almost 2 decades. I was the little girl in the picture, been carried by my Auntie, holding a balloon, but as what i know, i was just a baby girl. Will this push her to the limits on buying the biggest Christmas gifts ever? I might be on the state of shock & surprise after all. But there's a lot of surprises at my grandma's house. Maybe in my surprise, she might buy the 2 Jollibee Kids Meal toys for PR Operation Overdrive upon on a re-sale, behind my back & she doesn't told me, i was more surprised. I almost dropped my pink-colored Pucca bowling bag from my hand or from my shoulder as the strap slides down from the shoulder to the hand, carefully landing on the floor. My eyes are wide-open & i almost dropped my jaw. That might happen before the year 2010 ends. Ok, so i'm not just the only one who is overdriven. Even my auntie does.

Sorry for thinking too much about Christmas day, just because last year, i just have less gifts, maybe a box of Pocky Almond Crush imported from Japan is the best gift ever. This year, maybe it's not just the Overdrive Tracker or even the Pocky from Japan. So, for me, it's toys & Japanese snacks. Great. It would be just like i had the best Christmas season ever. I just surpassed an almost nightmare of my dear life that i would decide to live in my Grandma & relatives on my dad's side, being away from my dear father. But in the end, dad wants me to stay at home. He even thinks i was a Power Ranger, but i don't have a morpher like an Overdrive Tracker. (Maybe the Ateneo gear could count.) I just found out that Auntie Misato is watching Power Rangers RPM on weekends. Maybe if there's a holiday on a weekend, she could rather waste her boring time at Grandma's house, watching PR Operation Overdrive. But what will happen next when i just found out i will have the best Christmas season ever this year? I might even think about of changing my hairdo for now. I don't want to express a sad mood on a cheery holiday like Christmas.

Let me wait for 2 months for that to happen.
